The stack of cards were aligned, pressed very tightly between two boards, and then lacquered by hand. Once they are dry to the touch (but still a bit tacky), they can be carefully pulled apart (the lacquer should peel almost like adhesive that holds tear off notepads together). NOTE: I’d definitely recommend making a few stacks of “tester cards” before attempting the lacquer step!

Hard to describe how it’s constructed… I’ll gladly email you a picture of it from other angles to help better show you how it was done! There are also two magnets sandwiched between the folded cardboard to keep it closed and enable them to all “stick” together in alignment.
