Adam and I finally created and sent out the save the date video for our upcoming wedding… three and a half months out!!! Special thanks to our good friend T-Burton for bringing his cinematographer magic with his RED Epic!
(To get the “movie trailer experience,” I highly recommend watching it full screen in HD)
Adam and I play Fruit Ninja religiously. Before bed, waiting in lines, sitting on the… well… nevermind. We love it. So when we saw a video created by FinalCutKing that was featured on video game blogs, we had no option other than to team up with our favorite creatives (Zach and Paul) and make an epic response video. It was a quick and fun Wednesday evening shoot on a street corner that we stumbled upon in Kansas City. Adam and Zach directed/shot/edited, Paul helped us out with After Effects, and I starred in it and did the typography/graphics. Well done team!
We saw the original Cosmopolitan “just the right amount of wrong” commercial and decided to visit Vegas and stay at the hotel because it looked so awesome and edgy. It turns out that the majority of the commercial was shot on a set so we couldn’t even replicate the actual scenes… but regardless we had a blast and the hotel (from the giant digital wall art down to the Phaidon books, Jonathan Adler accents, and Piero Fornasetti wallpaper in the closet) was AMAZING!!!
Music: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club “Spread Your Love” and Blossom Dearie “Doop-Doo-De-Doop (A Doodlin’ Song)”
My free time in the past two months has been spent working on my sister’s baby shower. Mostly on making the invitations, but also decorations, menu planning, favors, etc. Below are the invitations I designed, along with the silly video that Adam made.
(and the baby? it’s a ridiculous Photoshopped combination of my sister’s and her husband’s facial features)
Short video created for Visa’s ‘Gooooal!’ Contest to promote the 2010 World Cup. Took second place in the contest, but was rated the most ‘liked’ on YouTube.
